Career and Academic Planning (CAP) Conferences are coming up in March, and we want students and families to feel prepared and confident going into those meetings. Many course options and opportunities require applications or forms to be completed before your CAP conference, so please review the information below carefully and take action as soon as possible.
Early College Experience (ECE) Classes
Students interested in taking Early College Experience (ECE) classes through North Arkansas College should start by reviewing the North Ark Information Page for important details, eligibility requirements, and testing information.
North Ark Application Portal
When applying, be sure to select Concurrent Credit Student and the Fall 2026 term.
AccuPlacer Testing
Before your CAP conference, students must have one of the following:
A 255 on the ACCUPlacer, or
A 19 on the ACT
Please check the North Ark Information Page to see which ACCUPlacer tests are required for your specific ECE class.
📌 Important Reminder: Students taking the ACT on the school testing day (February 25) may not receive scores back in time for CAP conferences. To avoid delays, students are strongly encouraged to also take the ACCUPlacer.
LAST Period (Juniors and Seniors Only)
Students requesting a LAST period must be enrolled in an ECE class during the same semester the LAST period is requested.
Internship Opportunities

Internships are a great way to gain real-world experience!
You do not need to currently have a job to apply.
Apply if Internship is listed as either a primary request or an alternate.
All steps must be completed before your CAP conference in March.
Even if Internship is an alternate, an application must still be on file.
Teacher’s Aide (Seniors Only)
Seniors interested in serving as a Teacher’s Aide must complete this form prior to their CAP conference.

Students considering NWTI programs should keep the following in mind:
AccuPlacer score requirements vary by program.
A minimum 2.0 GPA is required.
Students must have reliable transportation.
Journalism / Yearbook
Journalism (Yearbook Class) Application
Students planning to take Journalism/Yearbook must complete an application.
Students are encouraged to choose alternates in case they are not approved.
If Journalism/Yearbook is listed as an alternate, an application must still be on file.
