An EXCITING weekend for our Advanced Robotics team! On Saturday, they competed in their first VEX robotics tournament of the year in Fayetteville, facing off against 38 teams from across the state. Both of our teams excelled during the first round of alliance selection, with 'The Round Table' achieving a skills score in the top 10! So proud of their hard work and can't wait to see what the rest of the Robotics season brings! #PantherNation

Monday Motivation!
The CASS Program was honored to be invited to Huntsville CTE to participate in their SkillsUSA Fall Leadership Event! Our seniors had the opportunity to watch their chapter officers lead the opening ceremony, take part in a variety of leadership activities, connect with like-minded students, enjoy delicious food, win door prizes, and hear from employers and technical colleges about post-high school opportunities. A special thank you to Leticia Wrinkle, Roy Wrinkle, and the Huntsville District Leadership for organizing such an outstanding event and being wonderful hosts to our seniors. We are truly grateful for this experience and look forward to seeing everyone in Hot Springs!#PantherNation
Year One Robotics just completed their first "Tag Team" competition, and it was a huge success! Students dove into the challenge, using sensors and teamwork to navigate through matches. Today, our FCS students rolled up their sleeves and got hands-on in the kitchen, making delicious homemade biscuits! The goal? To understand the role of nutrition and meal planning in supporting overall health and wellness. Students learned firsthand how smart food choices can fuel a healthy lifestyle—and had fun baking, too! #PantherNation

Yesterday's election may have sparked some questions and reflections, and today we're carrying that same spirit of inquiry and open dialogue into the classroom. The Socratic Method encourages critical thinking and listening, which are essential not just in academic settings but in understanding and engaging with the world around us. Mr. Smith's Medical Terminology classes took an in-depth look at the cardiovascular system through hands-on dissections of cow, pig, and sheep hearts and lungs! Students explored the anatomy and functionality of these organs, with a highlight on inflating the lungs to observe the cardiovascular structures in action. This unique lab experience brought real-world insights into the complexities of the heart and lungs, enhancing students’ understanding of human and animal anatomy. #PantherNation
UPDATE ‼ The immediate weather danger has passed and we will be resuming our regular scheduled bus routes at 4:45 pm. Students will load buses at the high school and be headed home.
