Beginning June 2 and continuing through August 1, the district will offer free meals to all children 18 and under as part of its Summer Meal Program.
The program provides on-site meals at Siloam Springs Middle School, located at 600 S. Dogwood Street. Breakfast will be served from 8:00 to 9:00 AM, and lunch from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM. All meals are completely free and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
In addition to the middle school site, the district will operate several mobile meal locations Monday through Friday:
11:30 – 11:50 AM at Whiterock Street Mailboxes and Kenwood Apartments
12:00 – 12:20 PM at Eliana Chacon Park and Dogwood Apartments
Please note, all sites will be closed June 30 through July 4 in observance of the Independence Day holiday.
Elizabeth Cheramie, the district’s Child Nutrition Director, encourages families to take advantage of the opportunity. “We want to make sure every child in our community has access to nutritious meals, even when school isn’t in session,” she said.
For additional questions, parents and guardians can contact Elizabeth Cheramie at 479-524-3191 ext. 10127.
The Siloam Springs School District is proud to be an equal opportunity provider, committed to the health and well-being of all students.
