Seven SSMS students competed in the regional First Lego League tournament last Saturday, December 14th. Elijah Douthit, Charlie Birr, Patrick Dromi, Oliver Carter, Isai Ballesteros, and Reid Bordovsky are members of Shadowbots and brought home the Champions award. Beatrice Posey competed with Happy Accidents and brought home the Engineering Excellence Award. Both teams qualified to compete at the State level in January! #PantherNation #SSMS

Please pick up your student by 4:45pm in the bus loop parking lot located at the back entrance of the school. Middle School FCCLA was on FIRE this past week! 21 students went to Fort Smith, Arkansas to compete in the Region 1 Star Events. This week was a no technology week at the middle school. So some of our tech heavy classes got super creative. In Design and Modeling, students designed and created technical sketches for their own 3 dimensional puzzles. In Automation and Robotics, students examined inputs and outputs of systems by designing and building their own Rube Goldberg Machines. #PantherNation #SSMS
