Who has the best PTO around? WE DO. 👏 A huge thank-you to our amazing PTO and volunteers for stopping by with hot chocolate and treats today. It was the perfect pick-me-up to help us power through one more day! ☕🍫
Monday - Rudolph Day ✅ Tuesday - Grinch Day ✅ It's turned out to be a pretty great week here at IS! Lots of holiday spirit and participation. Don't forget that tomorrow is PAJAMA DAY, and Friday is wear your favorite Santa shirt or holiday gear. 🎅

Yesterday morning, our band students proudly showcased their talents for the entire student body and staff! 🎼 If you didn’t already know, our band program is among the best in the state. The same outstanding instructors who guide our high school musicians to top placements at state each year also work with our younger Panthers, building excellence from the ground up. Our band directors travel across multiple campuses to provide top-notch musical instruction—and it truly shows. Fantastic job, IS band students! #Limitless

We were so excited to host a Special Olympics Young Athletes event at our school last Friday! Our students had an amazing time learning, playing, and cheering one another on while building friendships and confidence. The joy, teamwork, and smiles filled the building, and we are so proud of everyone who participated. We can’t wait for the opportunity to work together again and continue celebrating inclusion and community! #Limitless

Don't forget about Holiday Spirit Week ‼️ Tomorrow is wear green or dress up in your favorite Grinch gear.

We’re kicking off this Thursday morning with a BUS WOW — and Ty, you are a rockstar! Wondering how students earn a Bus WOW? It’s simple: bus drivers award them to students who consistently show respectful, positive behavior while riding the bus. Not only do they get a shoutout on social media (every kid’s dream!), but they also get to choose a special treat from the prize box in the front office. #Limitless

Do you ever want to show support for your child's teacher but don't know how? Now is your chance! Our Intermediate PTO is hosting a Christmas Happy Wagon on Thursday, December 18th. 🎄 This "wagon" will go door to door, and teachers/staff will be able to choose from hot cocoa, apple cider, and a variety of sweet treats. Maybe you can contribute financially by buying an item in the link below, or maybe you can contribute with your time and volunteer to hand out these treats to staff! Either way, it's a small way to say thank you to our educators who give their all to our students. Click here to sign up for the happy wagon: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0A4CAEAE2CA1F4C25-60981498-christmas#/

Winter weather may move into our area tomorrow, and we’re keeping a close eye on the radar as conditions continue to develop. The safety of our students and staff remains our top priority, and we will make decisions with that in mind. If anything changes, we will share updates with you as soon as possible through our regular communication channels. Stay warm, stay safe, and thank you for your patience as we navigate the weather together!

We hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving break filled with family, travel, and plenty of good memories! As we get ready to return to school tomorrow, we know that this season often brings common illnesses, which can spread quickly once students are back in the classroom. To help keep our students, staff, and families healthy, please take a moment to review the guidelines below on when to keep your child home and when they can safely return to school. Thank you for helping us keep Panther Nation healthy and safe! 🐾

We hope your week is filled with good food, big laughs, and naps so long you forget what day it is. Enjoy the break, Panthers! 🙂 Also… 👀 Just a friendly reminder that we’re only 34 days away from Christmas. Time to warm up those jingle bells! 🎄

Earlier this week, Ms. Wilson’s 5th graders brought learning to life by illustrating idioms with chalk on the backside of our building! 🎨 It was an engaging, hands-on lesson that helped students deepen their understanding of figurative language—all while soaking up some sunshine before the rain rolled in! #Limitless

Leopards Team students in Ms. Smith's Language Arts class are reading, A Wrinkle in Time, as a class. Students are tracking their reading and can choose to simply read it or listen as they read the book. #ssis #panthernation 🐾❤️

Thank you to all our amazing VETERANS! We cannot express how much we appreciate your service and sacrifice! ❤️🤍💙 #ssis #PantherNation

6th grade students started their introduction to Ancient Greece by testing the strength of paper columns. Groups had to plan and test their columns by adding their Social Studies textbooks to the top. Students were amazed by how much weight columns can hold. #ssis #PantherNation 🐾❤️💪
