Yesterday, our Administration Team had the opportunity to learn from Damon Donnell, District Coordinator of Student Support Services for Springdale School District, who spoke with us about 5-Star Customer Service. While this training has been offered before, we believe it’s essential to continually revisit what matters most—because the values that define us should always stay at the forefront of our work.

This visit also highlighted the power of partnerships. Education is not about competition between districts; it’s about coming together to share knowledge, learn from one another, and strengthen our collective impact. When we collaborate, our staff grows stronger—and our students benefit most.

We recognize there is always room to grow, and we embrace that opportunity. What matters is our commitment to said growth: seeking feedback, reflecting on our practices, and continuously working to improve. We’re grateful for the opportunity to learn, connect, and keep moving forward. #Limitless

Our Leadership Is Learning! 🎓 This week, members of our School Board of Education and Superintendent Patrick are in Little Rock attending the 72nd ASBA Annual Conference. This annual gathering is an important time for board members from across Arkansas to connect, collaborate, and learn more about how to be even more impactful in their roles serving students, staff, and the community.

A BIG SHOUTOUT to our School Board President, Chris Whorton, for earning at least 50 hours of board development training — a major achievement. 👏

We are grateful for the leadership, commitment, and heart our board continues to invest in the Siloam Springs School District. Panthers rise when leaders lead with purpose! 🐾#Limitless

Today, we celebrate the incredible students, families, educators, and support staff who make our special education community so strong! This day commemorates a major milestone in education—on November 29, 1975, President Gerald Ford signed the nation’s first federal special education law, ensuring that every child has access to a free and appropriate public education. Since that historic moment, our schools have continued to grow in inclusivity, advocacy, and support for students of all abilities. We are grateful for our dedicated special education teachers, paraprofessionals, therapists, and specialists who empower students every single day through patience, creativity, and unwavering belief in their potential. #Limitless

If anything changes, we will share updates with you as soon as possible through our regular communication channels. Stay warm, stay safe, and thank you for your patience as we navigate the weather together!

We hope your Thanksgiving turkey doesn’t give you the slip like these turkeys gave our Northside students! 🦃 Last week, several of our schools jumped into Thanksgiving-themed learning. Hands-on activities that engage all the senses help students retain more—and have a whole lot of fun doing it! Mrs. Anderson’s kindergarten class learned about Christopher Columbus and how he traded new spices long ago… spices we still use in our food today! However you spend this holiday week, we hope it’s a memorable one. Happy Thanksgiving! 🍂 #Limitless

Yesterday, our Siloam Springs Public Schools Foundation made surprise visits across the district to award classroom grants—and the reactions said it all. The shock, the joy, the happy tears… you could truly see the excitement on our teachers’ faces. One educator summed it up perfectly: “This is the most awesome thing to ever happen to me!”

And guess what?? That moment was made possible because of YOU, Siloam Springs. ❤️
All year long, our incredible Foundation partners with local businesses to raise money so that moments like this can happen. This is your generosity going directly back into our schools—fueling creativity, innovation, and opportunities for our students.

Congratulations to yesterday’s grant recipients:

🎉 Ms. Gordon

Yesterday was a full and inspiring day in the Panther Nation! 🐾 Our School Board visited SSHS classrooms to see all the interactive learning happening between our educators and students. Later that evening, several Northside students with perfect attendance opened our Board meeting with the Pledge 🇺🇸. We celebrated recent wins from our FFA, 4H, and Ozark Media Arts Festival students, and honored our Employees of the Month—Doug Chastain and Christina Brown. 🎉

We also want to note that Zonda presented the proposed school zone boundaries as part of our ongoing goal of transitioning to neighborhood schools. The proposal, along with additional information about this transition, is available on our website for the community to review {https://www.siloamschools.com/page/strength-in-schools-success-in-children}

Check it out! Another vintage yearbook has been added to the SSSD Yearbook page on our website {https://www.siloamschools.com/page/sssd-yearbooks}! 📖 This time, it’s The Panther from 1936. Our favorite part? The two joke pages are at the very back!

➡ Miss Scott: “Forrest, where is your book?”
Forrest Smith: “I’m sitting on it.”
Miss Scott: “Well, I hope you hatch a happy thought.” ⬅

Thank you to the Siloam Springs Museum for housing the physical copies of these annuals and keeping such great care of this priceless history! Click below to flip through the pages and see how far our district has come: https://online.fliphtml5.com/ldjec/bfpj/#p=1

Each year, Mr. Patrick chooses a word to capture the heart of what our school year will be all about. Last year, it was coming together as one #PantherNation. This year, it’s #Limitless — and we invite you to be LIMITLESS with us! Too often, we set invisible limits for ourselves — “That won’t work” or “I can’t do that.” This year, we’re challenging our educators, leaders, and students to push past those limits and live #Limitless in all things! 🥳

To celebrate, we wanted to offer a budget-friendly way for everyone to join in! Whether you’re an alumnus, parent, or community member who wants to show your Panther pride, grab some merch! You’ll find t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, blankets, coasters, baby onesies, office supplies, and more. ‼ The store will be open through January 1st, so don’t miss out — let’s live #Limitless together ‼ CLICK HERE TO SHOP: https://www.spiritshop.com/school/arkansas/siloam-springs/siloam-springs-school-district

The Arkansas Department of Education has released school letter grades for the 2024–25 school year, marking the first year of official ratings under the new ATLAS assessment system (Arkansas Teaching, Learning & Assessment System). We’re proud to share that the Siloam Springs School District earned a “B” rating — a strong reflection of our students’ growth and our staff’s dedication to teaching and learning. 🎉

Statewide, 122 schools earned an “A,” 291 earned a “B,” 352 earned a “C,” 137 earned a “D,” and 130 earned an “F.” The new grading system measures student proficiency and growth in English language arts, math, and science, as well as graduation rates and post-graduation readiness for high schools.

This “B” rating highlights the hard work happening every day across our district and our continued commitment to helping every student succeed. Way to go, Panther Nation! 🐾 #Limitless
