This morning, we witnessed something truly special—the very first Panther Spirit Walk! 🐾 One of the most heartwarming moments? Our seniors and kindergarten students walked arm in arm down the court, symbolizing the journey from beginning to end. As they reached the center, seniors passed on a “paw” filled with well wishes to our kindergarteners, marking the start of a beautiful tradition and the passing of the Panther torch. 💻 Missed it in person? These special events are your chance to meet the principals, tour the buildings, and learn more about what the new school year holds. Whether you're new to our schools or returning, Open House is a great way to start the year off strong. #PantherNation

🎉It’s Move-Up Week in the Panther community! 🎉 Our 8th graders are spending time at the high school, getting a preview of what’s ahead as they prepare to become freshmen next year. Meanwhile, later this week, our 6th graders will tour the middle school to ease some of those nerves and get a feel for their future classrooms and hallways. A huge thank you to our counselors, teachers, and administrators for making these visits possible. Because of your efforts, students are heading into their next chapter with a little more confidence and a lot more excitement! 🖤 #PantherNation

🎉 Big celebrations and heartfelt goodbyes filled the room during last night’s board meeting! 🎉 We kicked off the evening with Paws & Claws 6th grade student Faith leading us in the Pledge of Allegiance—way to go, Faith! Then, in a surprise moment, our friends from the AAEA honored Maintenance Director Randall Bolinger as Arkansas' School Plant Manager of the Year for 2025! What a well-deserved recognition! 🛠️🏆 Next up, we spotlighted the incredible accomplishments of our Middle School Technology Student Association, whose innovation and hard work are making us proud! We then celebrated our Teachers of the Year, whose passion and dedication shape the future of our students each day. 🍎✨ Finally, we said goodbye to Board President Travis Jackson, as last night was his last board meeting. We are deeply grateful for his diligent service, steady leadership, and unwavering commitment to our district. Thank you to everyone who made the evening one to remember! 🐾 #PantherNation

Our Track team returned from state competition and brought back major hardware! 🏆 Way to go, Panthers!! 🐾 Make sure to give our SSSD Athletics page a follow on socials to keep up with all that our Panther athletes are accomplishing. #PantherNation Congrats: 🥇 Desirae Riehle - 1st place in 100, 200, & 400. Set 5A State and Overall "All Time" record in 200 and 400 in Arkansas! 🥈 Corbett Stephenson, Sebastian Romero, Chance Cunningham, Gaige Thompson - 2nd place in 4X800. They broke their own school record!

🌟 Let’s Raise Awareness for Mitochondrial Disease 🌟 In honor of Siloam Springs student Henry McKinney, we invite you to participate in Wear Orange Day! (Orange was Henry’s favorite color!) 🧡 WEAR ORANGE DAY will be on Friday, May 9th. We are celebrating this district-wide! Every 30 minutes, a child is born who will develop a mitochondrial disease by age 10. Show your support by wearing your brightest orange as we raise awareness for mitochondrial disease and stand in solidarity with the families affected by it. Want to do more? 🍽️ Happy School Lunch Hero Day! 🍽️ Today, we give a huge shoutout to some of the hardest-working, most caring people in our schools—our Child Nutrition team. They know our students by name, notice when someone needs an extra smile, and somehow keep everything running smoothly—even on the busiest days. From early-morning prep to lunchtime chaos, they do it all with kindness and heart. THANK YOU for showing up for our kids in ways that go far beyond the kitchen.
