Last night’s board meeting was extra special as we had some very special guests in attendance! 🥰 We were thrilled to welcome five incredible kindergarten students from Northside Elementary. Their bright smiles and enthusiasm brought so much joy to our meeting. But the excitement didn’t stop there! During our celebrations, we were also treated to a beautiful performance by 15 talented 2nd graders from Allen Elementary. They shared a sneak peek of their upcoming Christmas program, filling the room with holiday cheer. For those who missed it, don’t worry! You can experience the full performance tomorrow night at Allen Elementary, starting at 5:30 PM. 🎶 We’re so proud of the amazing work happening in our schools! #PantherNation
Yesterday, we celebrated this quarter's graduates at Main Street Academy with a handprint ceremony! The most special part of this day is when our educators stand up and say how these students have impacted them. You hear details like, "Their bright smile every morning made it worth it" or "Having that extra helping hand with such a positive attitude made me as a teacher want to work harder and be better for our students". These are connections and memories that will last a lifetime! 💖 #PantherNation

Here is your nightly update on our district Reindeer Games! Jingle and Jangle decided that a certain Principal needed to see their faces on repeat 😆 As we wrap up this week's games, next week we will release an entire new list of challenges for our staff members to complete to earn points! This week's challenges were flash mobs with TikTok dances, building a gingerbread house with supplies from two classrooms, bringing cookies to share in the lounge, wearing panther swag, tongue twisters, and several more. We will share a few of these silly pictures and videos tomorrow! ☺ #PantherNation

Happy National Special Education Day!🎉 This day commemorates the signing of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act into law on this day in 1975 (IDEA). IDEA granted access to children with special needs to free and quality public education. The act has been revised several times but the crux of it remains the same and is the foundation for special education in the U.S. Thank you to our exceptional special education team members for your tireless efforts. Each year our district hosts an in-house holiday competition called, Reindeer Games. 🦌 These games bring out fierce, friendly competition, with events that change from year to year. But one thing remains the same – the quest for the Highly Coveted Trophy, bragging rights, and a surprise building reward! This year's games are hosted by ✨Jingle (our district Elf on the Shelf) and Jangle (his bodyguard) ✨. Jingle and Jangle are a mischievous pair and have decided to play *light-hearted* pranks on our Principals each week! With each prank, we will update you all on what building is in the lead for the competition! Can you guess who's office Jingle and Jangle tee-peed first?! 😋

Yesterday was a jam-packed day here at the SSSD! 🐾 Our school board and district leadership members began the day at Siloam Springs High School with a YUMMY lunch and visited a choir, medical profession, and business class. They wrapped up their day at the monthly board meeting, where two very special guests led the pledge of allegiance! Veteran, Keith Schultz, and 5th-grade military enthusiast, Noah Taylor. Earlier this week, our Northside Elementary Pre-K and Kindergarten students held their own election ✨with a twist✨! They voted between Principal Fox and Assistant Principal Taylor on who would get PIED IN THE FACE. Today was their "election day" and the results were final! Principal Fox was the ultimate winner with 206 votes. We are incredibly grateful for leaders who are willing to do the "silly things" to fully engage our Panthers on all levels. #PantherNation
