They explored how diseases and injuries can impact our senses and wrapped up with a detailed video of a Cow Eye Dissection —getting prepped for the real dissection after Spring Break! #PantherNation

Today, our Accounting students had the privilege of learning from Brooke Rose of Generations Bank – Siloam Springs! She covered essential financial topics like writing checks, understanding credit scores, managing loans, and exploring certificates of deposit.
Students even got hands-on practice filling out checks and learned how to spot counterfeit money—crucial skills they’ll carry into the future!

🍏🍫 Healthier Desserts in Life & Fitness Nutrition! 🍓🥑
Our students took on the challenge of creating healthier dessert alternatives with reduced sugar—and they crushed it! They researched sugar consumption in the American diet (spoiler: most people eat way more than the recommended 12 tsp per day).
Each of these desserts contains 4 tsp of sugar or less per serving—proving that sweet treats can be delicious AND nutritious!

🏠 Popsicle House Challenge: Where Business Meets Math! 💼📐
Our Intro to Business students are putting their skills to the test! In teams, they’re designing and building a popsicle stick house—complete with a detachable roof—using management strategies and math skills like measuring, planning, and problem-solving.

🤖🔥SSHS Robotics Shines at Arkansas State VEX Tournament! 🤖🔥
This weekend, the top 25-30% of robotics teams in Arkansas battled it out at the State VEX Robotics Tournament, and our SSHS teams represented Panther Nation with pride!
🏅 Technocrats finished 27th in qualifiers and 16th in the finals, achieving their best skills score of the year—placing them among the top 20 teams in the state!
⚔️ Round Table faced challenges from the start but showed unmatched resilience and determination throughout the tournament. Their perseverance is something to be proud of!
👏 We are incredibly proud of both teams and all they’ve accomplished this season. We can't wait to see what they achieve next year! #PantherNation

🐾FFA WINS DISTRICT CONTEST🐾
On Thursday, March 13, our FFA career development teams competed at the Northwest District Contest at Arkansas Tech University. We had six teams compete, and all six finished in the top 15! Five out of the six teams qualified to compete at the state contest in April, one team was the district champion, and five students finished in the top 10 of their contest. Both Advanced SSHS Robotics Teams will head to Russellville for the VEX V5 Robotics State Tournament this weekend!
