On Friday, February 28th, Senator Tyler Dees (35th District AR) visited Main Street Academy. After a tour of the building, he hosted a round table question and answer session with some students. What a great way for our students to learn more about how their government works for them!

Today, MSA students learned about the life of Irena Sendler through a skit with Principal Michele Markovich and History Teacher Kevin Scarberough as part of Holocaust Remembrance Week. In an interview that was reenacted today, Ms Sendler stated; "Fear was a constant companion, especially when I was interrogated by the Gestapo. But doubt? Never. I knew that the cause was just, and that gave me strength."
