Just how much sugar is in that drink? Well, our Health students found out yesterday by reading the ingredient labels on their favorite sugary drinks, then measuring out that many teaspoons of sugar into a baggie for comparison.

"In Physical Science class, we created marble coasters to explore the principles of potential energy, kinetic energy, and velocity in motion. By designing tracks of varying heights and slopes, we observed how the gravitational potential energy (GPE) of the marble at the start transformed into kinetic energy as it descended. As the marble rolled down the coaster we measured the kinetic energy based on where the marble started and how the loops affected it differently to understand how velocity changes with elevation. Through hands-on experimentation, we gained a clearer understanding of energy conversion and the relationship between height, speed, and motion, illustrating fundamental concepts of physics in an engaging and visual manner". ~ student submission

High School has been using this platform for a while now! This is how your child's teacher is going to communicate with you moving forward ☺
Down below is helpful information on how SchoolStatus works and what you can expect:
✔ You will have a direct line to your child's teacher/teachers.
✔ Each text will specifically list who is contacting you from our district so you know it is not "Spam". Save that contact number in your phone for future use!
✔ You can text that number at any time, BUT, teachers do have "office hours". If you text your child's teacher at 10 pm, they won't receive that notification until the next day during those allowed hours.
