At the Tuesday, April 8th board meeting, school board members unanimously approved Superintendent Patrick’s recommendation to designate Tuesday, May 27th as the official last day of school. This adjustment was made to account for previously missed instructional days and will remain in place as long as there are no additional unexpected school closures. Thank you for understanding!
Superintendent Shane Patrick recently traveled to Oklahoma to attend the Mid-America Dorper Show and Sale—and he wasn’t the only familiar face there! While at the event, he had the chance to catch up with two outstanding Siloam Springs students: 7th grader Hunter Stanfill and 11th grader Keelyn Seagraves.
Both Hunter and Keelyn proudly represented our district and walked away with some serious hardware—National Champion White Dorper Ram and Reserve Champion White Dorper Ewe! 🏆🐏
We’re so proud of their hard work, dedication, and the way they’re showcasing Panther excellence beyond the classroom. Congratulations, Hunter and Keelyn! #PantherNation

Who has two thumbs and had an awesome time during our Board visit to Southside Elementary yesterday? This guy—VLAD! 👍👍 Our Board members and leadership team had a blast, too! They enjoyed a healthy lunch and stopped by several 3rd and 4th grade classrooms to see learning in action. 🧠 That evening, we were honored to have three special guests from Allen Elementary lead us in the Pledge of Allegiance. We also took time to celebrate the incredible success of our recent STEAM nights, as well as the achievements of our Indoor Winds and Winter Color Guard groups. What a day! 👏 #PantherNation

Get an 👀 inside look 👀 at how our counselors and educators talk through severe weather with our younger Panthers! Often, severe thunderstorms can cause big emotions in some students. ⛈ When big emotions surface, it can be hard to learn and stay focused. Our vision at the SSSD is to meet the individual needs of every student. That means slowing down, getting on their level, and processing emotions that come with bright flashes of light and loud booms. We think the last slide sums it up perfectly: "I can have a GREAT day even when the skies are grey!" 😎
