Springdale High School recently hosted a vibrant Mental Health Pep Rally, bringing together a host of distinguished guests dedicated to promoting mental well-being in our schools. Among the attendees were Fayetteville Superintendent Dr. Mulford, Springdale Superintendent Dr. Cleveland, and Chancellor of the University of Arkansas Mr. Robinson. The event also featured Men's Razorback Basketball Head Coach John Calipari (plus the team), Elkins Superintendent Mr. Mangrum, and Executive Director of the AAA Mr. Taylor alongside his wife, Mrs. Taylor. This gathering underscored the importance of mental health awareness, and fostering a supportive community for students and staff alike! 🤝 #PantherNation

This past week the "Be Pro Be Proud" truck stopped by our high school and middle school campuses! This opportunity allows students to participate in a mobile workshop containing hands-on simulators for skilled trades, such as welding, truck driving, and heavy equipment operation. It also features virtual reality technology. Even Arkansas State Senator, Tyler Dees, stopped by and had some fun! #PantherNation

Yesterday, Arkansas PBS came and filmed our HS United Cheer team for their feature that will be released in December! 🎥 These are just a few of the behind the scene pics. These students were buzzing with excitement! Sophomore, Jaiden, said, "I have a dancing part in the routine with my best friend. We love to dance. We also love 'Dancing with the Stars'! Last week, our 6th - 12th grade band students took the field for a collective "Band Night" performance! 🎶 We had 6th-grade soloists, a pair of saxophone brothers playing in unison, and soft cotton candy skies to accompany our high school's stellar performance! On Wednesday, the NWA Home Builders Association presented our HS CASS program with a $2,000 check to support the program's growth! We are excited to continue enhancing the program with specialized training, new tools and equipment, and more. Today, our school board had the pleasure of visiting the Siloam Springs Intermediate School! 🏫 They started their tour in Ms. Santamaria's music class, where they were treated to a wonderful melody that showcased our talented students. The board then moved on to the library, where Ms. Graves and her students were fully engaged in an exciting makers space activity, sparking creativity and collaboration. To wrap up the day, everyone enjoyed a scrumptious lunch complete with fresh hot rolls. It was a fantastic way to celebrate the amazing work happening in our schools! #PantherNation #SSIS
