Last Friday, our incredible cheer team headed to Dallas, Texas, determined to bring home the gold at the National High School Cheer Competition. Before hitting the road, they shared a special celebration with their fellow Special Olympic athletes. And guess what? BIST provides educators and parents with the tools and knowledge necessary to collaborate with students in fostering emotional awareness and developing positive coping skills, enabling them to lead safe and productive lives both in and out of the classroom. Another long weekend ahead ‼ There will be NO SCHOOL on Monday in observance of MLK day. #PantherNation
Yesterday, the school board had the wonderful opportunity to visit Allen Elementary, where they were treated to a delicious meal prepared by our hardworking Child Nutrition team. After enjoying the meal, they participated in a professional learning community (PLC) session alongside our dedicated teachers. 🍎 During the PLC, teachers came together to analyze important data and test scores, identifying areas where improvements could be made to ensure our students continue to grow and succeed. ✔ We were also thrilled to have 3rd grader Gretta Rhodes and 4th grader Franklin Lopez start last night's board meeting by leading the Pledge of Allegiance. These Southside students did a fabulous job and looked great while doing it! Thank you to the school board for visiting and supporting the important work happening in our classrooms! #PantherNation
