Our cafeteria ladies are truly the heart behind so many smiles at our school. They are kind, hardworking, and always greet our students with warmth and encouragement. Beyond making sure every child has a full tummy, they take the time to build meaningful relationships—learning names, sharing conversations, and brightening days in the lunch line.

SSIS parents and students - Next week is Children's Mental Health Awareness Week! We are wearing 💚green💚 on THURSDAY May 7th to show our support! There is hope and help! Text HOME to 741741 if you need a crisis counselor. It's free and available 24/7 for kids and adults!

📚 Reminder! Summative Atlas Testing begins tomorrow and continues through Friday. Please help your child be successful by making sure they arrive at school on time each day and, if possible, avoid checking them out early during the testing window.

🎉 Students who are present, on time, and actively working during testing will be entered into our daily prize drawings!

🍦 To celebrate everyone’s hard work, all students will enjoy an Ice Cream Social on Friday (extra PAC time and their choice of a frozen dessert).

Our SSIS After-School Celebration is coming up on 4/15/26! Students will enjoy bounce inflatables, board games, lawn games, rock climbing, dodgeball, a photo booth, temporary tattoos, face painting, sand art, bracelet making, concessions, an ice cream truck, and more!

Cost: $10 (includes entry, a slice of pizza, and a water).

Some optional activities have small fees:

Photo booth $2
Face paint $1
Temporary tattoos 2 for $1
Sand art $1

Additional concessions will also be available, so students may bring extra money if they’d like.
