transition section

We are looking ahead with excitement to the 2026–2027 school year! If you’re not already aware, our school district was previously organized with just two grade levels per building until high school. In fact, we were one of only five districts in the state still using this model.

Last semester, our Board of Education approved a district-wide reconfiguration to better serve our students and families. Beginning in the 2026–2027 school year, our district will transition to three Pre-K–5 schools, two 6–8 middle schools, and one 9–12 high school. This model is known as a “neighborhood schools” configuration and is designed to create stronger school communities and smoother transitions for students.

We’ve created a dedicated section on our website with everything you need to know about this transition.
