Research consistently shows that students who attend school regularly perform better academically, build stronger relationships with peers and teachers, and develop the habits that serve them well beyond the classroom.

What we're asking is simple: when possible, help us protect instructional time by scheduling appointments outside school hours and encouraging your student toward consistent, on-time attendance. By doing so we make sure our Panthers are present, ready to learn, and equipped to succeed every day!

Jadon is among an exceptional group of high school seniors across the country to earn this distinction, placing him in the top 1% of graduating seniors nationwide.
This achievement can open significant opportunities for students as they plan for college. National Merit recognition can lead to substantial scholarship support, including awards that cover tuition, room and board, and other educational expenses.

The Arkansas Division of Elementary and Secondary Education notified schools about the trend after it raised school safety concerns across the country.
Posts often show a menacing, life-sized Cat in the Hat character near homes, schools, or windows. Some posts include school names, towns, student names, threatening captions, or claims about imminent harm.
DESE reports there is no credible or imminent threat connected to this trend.
Please take the following steps:
• Do not share or repost these videos or posts.
• If you see a post naming Siloam Springs Schools, one of our schools, or a student, take a screenshot.
• Report the content through the social media platform.
• Talk with your student about reporting concerning online content to a trusted adult.
Siloam Springs Schools is actively monitoring this trend and any content that may reference our schools, students, or community. Our School Resource Officers are aware of the trend and are included in our ongoing monitoring and safety efforts. We are also staying in communication with state safety officials and will take appropriate action if information develops that could affect the safety of our students or staff.
At this time, there is no known credible or imminent threat to Siloam Springs Schools related to this trend.

Track Maintenance
A quick heads-up for our Panther families and community: The track at Louie Thomas Middle School will be closed all week while maintenance and resurfacing work is completed.
The closure is necessary to allow the work to be done properly and to give the new surface time to set. Thanks for helping us keep the area clear while the work is underway. We’re looking forward to having the track ready to use again soon!

Time is running out to apply for Summer EBT 2026! The deadline is August 31. While some families receive Summer EBT automatically, if your child attends a school where all students receive free lunches, you may need to fill out an application so DHS can determine your eligibility based on income and household size.
