🎄 Holiday Break Reminder 🎄As we head into the festive season, we want to remind our families that Christmas Break begins December 22 and continues through January 6. Students will return to school on Wednesday, January 7.

Please note that all school and district offices will be closed from December 22–January 2. Offices will reopen on Monday, January 5.

At tonight’s School Board meeting, the Board approved three major motions:
✔️ Transition to the Neighborhood Schools Model
✔️ Move forward with Proposal 1 for Elementary and Middle School zoning (linked here: https://bit.ly/4j57dfr)
✔️ Authorize the Superintendent to sign documentation to purchase the DaySpring Cards, Inc. property on behalf of the Siloam Springs School District

“The school board approval is a collaborative milestone for Siloam Springs and for DaySpring. The facilities have been home to a brand rooted in faith and care; seeing them continue to serve local students is deeply meaningful. As we shared in January, DaySpring is transitioning from a standalone subsidiary to a brand within Hallmark’s portfolio. The facilities decision doesn’t change our timing to transition operations from DaySpring to Hallmark in mid-2026. We’re grateful to the district for months of planning that aligned our respective needs and timelines. Yesterday, our Administration Team had the opportunity to learn from Damon Donnell, District Coordinator of Student Support Services for Springdale School District, who spoke with us about 5-Star Customer Service. While this training has been offered before, we believe it’s essential to continually revisit what matters most—because the values that define us should always stay at the forefront of our work.

This visit also highlighted the power of partnerships. Education is not about competition between districts; it’s about coming together to share knowledge, learn from one another, and strengthen our collective impact. When we collaborate, our staff grows stronger—and our students benefit most.

We recognize there is always room to grow, and we embrace that opportunity. What matters is our commitment to said growth: seeking feedback, reflecting on our practices, and continuously working to improve. We’re grateful for the opportunity to learn, connect, and keep moving forward. #Limitless

Our Leadership Is Learning! 🎓 This week, members of our School Board of Education and Superintendent Patrick are in Little Rock attending the 72nd ASBA Annual Conference. This annual gathering is an important time for board members from across Arkansas to connect, collaborate, and learn more about how to be even more impactful in their roles serving students, staff, and the community.

A BIG SHOUTOUT to our School Board President, Chris Whorton, for earning at least 50 hours of board development training — a major achievement. 👏

We are grateful for the leadership, commitment, and heart our board continues to invest in the Siloam Springs School District. Panthers rise when leaders lead with purpose! 🐾#Limitless

REMINDER ❗ The School Board meeting is scheduled for NEXT Thursday, December 18th, at 5:30 p.m. in the Board Room at the Administration Building (3050 Cheri Whitlock Dr).

At this meeting, our School Board will vote “yes” or “no” on adopting the Neighborhood Schools Model and will then determine which school zone to implement. 👏 2025 Siloam Springs Football 6A West Post-Season Recognition 👏 Congratulations, athletes! #Limitless

10 Special Olympics Athletes traveled to Little Rock to represent Siloam Springs at the Arkansas State Special Olympics Bowling competition. SIX students placed in the top 3 in the state for their categories. 🎉 Every athlete showed that their abilities are LIMITLESS! Let's go, Panther Nation!

Today, we celebrate the incredible students, families, educators, and support staff who make our special education community so strong! This day commemorates a major milestone in education—on November 29, 1975, President Gerald Ford signed the nation’s first federal special education law, ensuring that every child has access to a free and appropriate public education. Since that historic moment, our schools have continued to grow in inclusivity, advocacy, and support for students of all abilities. We are grateful for our dedicated special education teachers, paraprofessionals, therapists, and specialists who empower students every single day through patience, creativity, and unwavering belief in their potential. #Limitless

Winter weather may move into our area tomorrow, and we’re keeping a close eye on the radar as conditions continue to develop. The safety of our students and staff remains our top priority, and we will make decisions with that in mind. If anything changes, we will share updates with you as soon as possible through our regular communication channels. We hope your Thanksgiving turkey doesn’t give you the slip like these turkeys gave our Northside students! 🦃 Last week, several of our schools jumped into Thanksgiving-themed learning. Hands-on activities that engage all the senses help students retain more—and have a whole lot of fun doing it! Mrs. Anderson’s kindergarten class learned about Christopher Columbus and how he traded new spices long ago… spices we still use in our food today! However you spend this holiday week, we hope it’s a memorable one. Happy Thanksgiving! 🍂 #Limitless

Yesterday, our Siloam Springs Public Schools Foundation made surprise visits across the district to award classroom grants—and the reactions said it all. The shock, the joy, the happy tears… you could truly see the excitement on our teachers’ faces. One educator summed it up perfectly: “This is the most awesome thing to ever happen to me!”

And guess what?? That moment was made possible because of YOU, Siloam Springs. ❤️

Yesterday was a full and inspiring day in the Panther Nation! 🐾 Our School Board visited SSHS classrooms to see all the interactive learning happening between our educators and students. Later that evening, several Northside students with perfect attendance opened our Board meeting with the Pledge 🇺🇸. We celebrated recent wins from our FFA, 4H, and Ozark Media Arts Festival students, and honored our Employees of the Month—Doug Chastain and Christina Brown. 🎉

We also want to note that Zonda presented the proposed school zone boundaries as part of our ongoing goal of transitioning to neighborhood schools. Today, Siloam Springs High School held its annual Veterans Day Assembly — a special time dedicated to honoring those who have bravely served our country! We were grateful to welcome members of our local American Legion Post 29, along with other Siloam Springs veterans, who were celebrated and recognized for their courage, sacrifice, and commitment to our nation. Thank you to ALL who have served and continue to serve. We are forever grateful for your dedication and the freedoms you protect. ❤️🤍💙 #VeteransDay
